What is CollegeSellers.com all about? Is there a summary of what I can

Yes, there is a fairly detailed description of what we are all about on
our "About Us" page. Before you
get confused, check that out and you will quickly understand how CollegeSellers.com
can help you financially and academically! Your account balance is for posting ads only. It has no cash value and you cannot use your balance to buy items from others. All of that is taken care of at a meeting place that you agree on with another member. So, use your account balance to start posting ads now!

Do I have to create a CollegeSellers ID to buy items?
No, you do not have to create an ID to buy items. Once you find an item
that you are interested in, contact that seller via their email and/or
phone number. You do not have to pay CollegeSellers any sort of fee for
our services as a buyer.

Do I have to create a CollegeSellers ID to sell items?
Yes, if you want to post items to CollegeSellers you must create a user
ID with the necessary information. Remember, it's FREE to sign up (In
fact, we give your account $5 when you do it) and takes maybe 60 seconds.

Does it really only cost $1 to post an item on CollegeSellers for an entire
month?
YES! Post your
item, monitor your messages and wait for people to email or call you;
it is that easy. Can you think of any other place where you can get something
in front of the actual people who need it for only $1? It really is a
bargain! In fact, you don't even have to pay the $1 during the introductory period until CollegeSellers.com feels it fit to start charging $1 per ad. So, for now, post away! For FREE!

If I post an item to CollegeSellers, how much money do I owe CollegeSellers
when I sell the item?
$1, that's it! You can post a book for a price of $10 or a car for $25,000
and there is no cut or percentage that you owe CollegeSellers other than
the $1 posting fee. The only way it would cost more is if you add any
of the extras, such as Bold, Gallery or Featured just to name a few. Oh,
and don't forget, you also get one free pic!

Do I need a PayPal account to add funds to my CollegeSellers account?
Yes. It is EXTREMELY EASY and you only have to do it once. Also, you can
add funds to your PayPal account via credit card, debit card, checking
account or free transfer balances from your banking accounts. Plus, you
can use your PayPal account for many other sites throughout the Internet

to make payments over the Internet

What if my school is not listed in the state that it is located in?
You can still register as a member of CollegeSellers.com. Next to the
college/university pull-down menu, check the box which indicates your
school is not listed. Then, click on "CONTACT US" to request
we add your school. A new window will open where you will be able to send
the administrators of CollegeSellers a request to add your school. Be
sure to include your email address so that we can send you an email once
your school has been added. You will then be able to log in and Edit your
Profile to reflect your school.

I do not want to post my phone number when I sell an item; is there anyway
around this?
Yes. When you go to post an item, CollegeSellers asks if you want to post
one of your phone numbers along with a "none" option. However, the displaying
of your email address is mandatory.
9.
Is my information safe? Do you sell my email address, personal information,
Internet activity, etc. to third parties?
There is very limited information that we gather about you. The simple
registration information, include mailing address, phone numbers, email
address, and everything else in-between will not be sold to third parties.
Since payments to your account are done via Paypal, CollegeSellers.com
will never ask for your credit card information and have no access to
retrieve this information. All of these transactions are taken care of
by Paypal and you can feel free to check out their security statement
by going to Paypal.com.

What suggestions does CollegeSellers make when exchanging an item and
money between seller and buyer?
Here at CollegeSellers we want only the best exchange possible between
two parties. So, when exchanging smaller items, meet at a busy location
on campus, during a peak hour when people are around and if you want,
bring a friend along. Also, if you must see someone's car, washer/dryer,
etc., go during the day and bring a friend or two; it never hurts to be
safe when dealing with money and items.

I go to my school, click Teacher and/or Class Ratings and it will not
let me view them? What do I have to do to view them?
Basically, only CollegeSellers members can view the Teacher and Class
Ratings. Simply create a CollegeSellers ID, log in and then click back
to your school and Ratings section; it is that simple. Also, now that
you are a member, you can post messages to help your fellow peers, making
it the Ultimate College Resource.

I have a suggestion for CollegeSellers or I would like to see some new
things added; who do I contact?
Simply click "Contact Us" and
go from there. We are always trying to make CollegeSellers.com a better
site for you and need your help in doing this!

Can I ship items?
Yes. You can do whatever you want with your items, just make sure you
mention that in your item description…especially if it is a popular textbook.
14.
What if an item is not available at my school, is there any other way
I might be able to find it?
Yes, if you do an advanced search, you can search within the entire state
for the item you are looking for. In fact, you can search any college
or state you would like in order to find that item and then e-mail/call
the seller to see if they are willing to ship. Not all members are going
to be willing to ship, but it's worth a try!
15.
I go to a Community College/Junior College…can I have it added?
We are expecting to have a phase where we will add in Junior Colleges,
however, if you feel that your Junior College has a lot to offer CollegeSellers
and the community, then feel free to let us know.
16.
Can I work for CollegeSellers?
YES! We are always looking for college representatives. If you are interested,
please contact us regarding work load, payout and marketing strategies.
We can not touch every college in the country and we need EVERYONE'S help
to spread the word; even if we are paying them.

What if I post drugs, alcohol, weapons, etc.?
THEY WILL BE DELETED FROM THE SITE AS SOON AS THEY ARE DETECTED AND YOU
WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. PERIOD. IF MORE THAN ONE OFFENSE OCCURS, YOU WILL
BE DELETED FROM THE DATABASE.

How often do the CollegeSellers administrators monitor their emails and
respond?
We monitor our emails on a daily basis and try to respond within 48 hours.

Why does the site look different when I use my FireFox browser?
CollegeSellers.com was designed to be used mainly by Internet Explorer browsers. While it will still function on other browsers, such as Netscape or Firefox, the images might be slightly distorted. Also, some minor functions, such as using the HTML edit box for descriptions when posting an ad, might not function the same. All the general functions, however, should be identical. We are sorry for this inconvenience and we are continually trying to improve CollegeSellers.com to make it easier for you to use!
